Voting Issues

Hello everyone~

We've been having some issues with voting settings, and with our wonderful Founder missing in action for these past couple of days we've been unable to set things right. We've found a way to get around the problem for now, but for those of you who submitted a while ago and have not yet received a response regarding your submissions, chances are it's sort of stuck in limbo. So please feel free to withdraw and resubmit, and this time you should get a speedy response. Thanks all, and sorry for the inconvenience!

PS: Once again, no submitting your own work to the Featured folder

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY!!

LANGUAGE NOTE
The rules of this club are written in English. If you have trouble understanding the rules because English is not your primary language, please note the group at #fanartists-club or leave a comment [here]. Please write your note in English the best you can, as well as in whatever your primary language is (uh, tell us what language it is in English though just in case none of us speak it so we can point you in the right direction). Hopefully one of the admins also speaks your language and can help you out.

MEMBERSHIP

- This group has MODERATED MEMBERSHIP. Please read all the rules carefully before joining - even the ones you think you know already.

- If you do not plan on submitting work, please consider just watching the group instead of joining it.

- Please understand that there are a lot of members in this club and we want everyone to be able to submit their work. There are at times when you will receive quite a lot of deviations from the club at once in your inbox. If you do not want this to happen, please reconsider joining this club.

GALLERY SUBMISSIONS

- Members can only submit to the member gallery and these require a vote by the admins.

- DO NOT DELETE YOUR SUBMISSION CORRESPONDENCE. This is the only way you will find out whether it was accepted or rejected or expired short of slogging through the entire gallery searching for your piece. It will also tell you whether voting is still going on, so please do not delete it!

- You can only submit work once a week. Please only submit your best work. We may go through your gallery and look. If we think you have better work to submit, we may decline the current one so that you may have a chance to showcase your better works instead. This group is not about submitting all of your fanart.

- This group is for fanart only. Don't submit your original work. Submissions need to be in the fanart section of DA, or alternatively, the deviation description should clearly state what it is fanart of, especially if it isn't a mainstream series. If we don't know where it's from, we can possibly mistake it for original work and reject it.

- Mature deviation submissions are allowed as long as there is a warning and it's not porn.

- Traced/copied/eyeballed work isn't allowed if your reference material is already an artwork produced by someone else's hand (eg. manga material or the like), and if your submission is merely a reproduction of the same image. Please click the double exclamation marks at the end of "please read everything carefully" at the top of the rules. However, if your artwork is striving for photo-realism (eg. live action movie fanart referenced from a screencap) it is acceptable for submission.

IF YOUR WORK WAS DECLINED:

- Being a member doesn't necessarily mean that your fanart will be accepted; it will still need to be voted on by at least 10 admins in order to pass. Please understand that when you submit your work to this group, you are submitting it to be judged by the admins. If you cannot accept rejection, please reconsider joining this club.

- We only provide critique and an explanation for a decline if you ask for it. We find that most people don't want an explanation, so we don't offer it unless it's asked for. If you do want it however, please write ask us in the submission correspondence (remember, don't delete the correspondence) and give us at least a week to get back to you; the admins are fairly busy and if they weren't the ones who voted on the piece, we often cannot give you a definitive answer.

- If your piece was declined, please do not resubmit it unless you discussed it with us and we authorize it. It will not be accepted just because we've seen it more often, and you will waste your one submission every week.

- If your piece "EXPIRED", it just means that the admins didn't manage to accept/decline the piece before the submission period ended. Go ahead and re-submit the piece, but make sure you tell us in the submission correspondence that it was previously expired so that we don't decline it unfairly.

FAVORITES SUGGESTION

- DO NOT submit your own work to the favorite's section. If we miss it and end up accepting it, we WILL go back and remove the piece from the favorites section.

The word isn't in the rules, but there's a sentence that explicitly tells you where to go to find it.

Ummmmm.... my first submission timed out, so I resubmitted... but it's been 13 days since then, and I'm wondering if I submitted to the wrong folder or somthing. I'm not mad, so don't take this the wrong way.
